Explored around Nansen-ji.
Someone’s gotta do it!
Enjoying the quaint streets of Kyoto.
Next day in Kyoto, we walked over to the famous Fushimi temple. Along the way, we noticed a lot of gardens filled with water bottles?
Isaac got another good fortune!
Such a cool to walk through the red arches, all the way to the top.
We took a detour for the “waterfall” that was promised…

We started the next day with the bamboo forest at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
Arashiyama view point
One of the few blooming cheery blossoms (they bloomed late this year because it was a cold winter).
Headed straight up the hill to the Arahiyama Monkey Park.
Monkeys everywhere! 3 rules: do not feed, do no crouch, and do not look them in the eye…
Mother and baby
After another big day of walking, we needed to regroup. We went to the Samurai & Ninja museum and got a tour plus time to through ninja stars and dress up in samurai gear.
Heard about this place called Duck Noodle. It is located in a random alley and its menu was all enjoys. One of the best places we ate at in Japan. When we came out, the line we 20+ people in the alley (the place has only 9 seats!!).
Went on a day trips to Nara and Osaka, then headed to Endoshima on the bullet train.
