Marissa & Isaac's Adventures

Milan - Our Goth(ic) Phase

IT'S 5 O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE
Obviously the aperol spritz is the only choice when you are lounging in Italy, people watching by the river.
A quick day trip to Milan involved lots and lots of pigeons and one big ole cathedral.
View from the top - some skyscrapers in the back, some of the few we saw the entire trip. Milan was a great city to explore, with both modern and historic elements.
We got tickets to walk to the top of Duomo Di Milano - one of the coolest pieces of architecture we saw the entire trip. Insane gargoyles and church figures carved into the duomo.
The Duomo's interior.
A model for building the Duomo, featured in the Cathedral's museum. Even the replica is epic.
The Eternal Father statue inside the Museum of Milan Cathedral.
Isaac introducing me to his family for the first time.
Situated right next to the Duomo was the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Italy's oldest active shopping gallery and the oldest shopping center in the world! Shopping in Milan is iconic, as it is know for its fashion and luxury brands. Too bad Isaac and I have no desire for such things - point us in the direction of the best happy hour please!
Inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, aka the fanciest mall I've ever seen. I was at the mall getting Annie Anne's pretzels and going to Hot Topic while these teens here are popping in Prada and Louis Vuitton.
Ending our day in Sempione Park - peep the Sforzesco Castle.
