Pisa - Get a Pisa My Heart

We found a Keith Haring mural in an unsuspecting street downtown Pisa.
Can you believe this is a Forever 21? Back home, it’s all about mega malls, but here they’re shopping with stained glass windows and mosaic floors...
Some call it the leaning Isaac of Pisa. Pisa felt like a cliche tourist destination before visiting, but the alarming angle of the buildings and the beauty of the architecture made for a fantastic day trip. We are not afraid to admit that we did walk away with our very own, tiny replicas of the tower.
You GOTTA do it. The fact that 100 other people are doing it too helps to overcome the tourist embarrassment.
Our huge, strong fingers actually moved the tower 3° further; sorry Pisa.
Sometimes you just gotta get a good grip on ancient wall stone.
By far the best thing in Pisa was an ancient wall surrounding much of the city. The views were fantastic and was mostly empty. Highly recommend taking a stroll on the wall if you get the chance!
More peaceful river walks.
The Palazzo Blu museum had a special exhibit featuring huge coloring faces, some of which we recognized. More Keith Haring featured here as well.
Once again catching a glorious Italian sunset. Colorful buildings lining a curving river covered by stone bridges are always a winning combo.
